I requested and received permanent local importer rights to the [https://mediawikitesters.orain.org/wiki/Main_Page MediaWiki Testers Wiki] from [[User:John|John]] after a discussion about this on IRC. The reasons I gave were for the purposes of uploading gadgets and public domain help pages from other wikis for testing user scripts and providing support for MediaWiki code.
