Hi

I remember you :D--Tyreek (talk) 03:03, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi. WikiHub didn't really work out. I'll help out here. They're going to do better than I could. Inquisitor Sasha (talk) 12:02, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Eh Sasha, how do you get a ssu.lt domain?--Tyreek (talk) 15:35, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
You can just ask one of the Sturmkrieg Administration Committee members to set up the relevant DNS record for you. If there's a free DNS manager that you use, I can set up a nameserver record for you so that you can manage the domain yourself. I've considered the possibility of developing an web application where people can register .ssu.lt domain names themselves and manage their own domains from it. It would mean though that pretty much all .ssu.lt domains would have to be managed through it. Plus I'm worried about the domain then becoming a source for spam and illegal activity, which would result in it being blacklisted, which would severely affect everyone using it.
What domain do you want? Entry DNS seems to be a free DNS provider. Inquisitor Sasha (talk) 17:15, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
Ah.--Tyreek (talk) 17:39, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
Is there any specific domain that you would like? Inquisitor Sasha (talk) 17:40, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
I am thinking of one. But like does entry DNS allow for the creation of a custom domain name like example.org by using one's IP?--Tyreek (talk) 18:40, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
It seems to allow all the major domain records. It allows the A record, which is generally used for websites by adding the IP address of the website. You'd be able to setup your own subdomains as well. Inquisitor Sasha (talk) 19:20, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
Interesting! Can I give a request?--Tyreek (talk) 19:35, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
Sure. What domain would you like? It's also free, which was the goal of providing it as a service. It was originally for Warhammer 40k sites, but I'm sure it will be fine for personal and noncommercial use. Inquisitor Sasha (talk) 19:37, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
Right now I'm thinking of the domain name but currently at the moment anytime I go to your wiki site with ssu.lt I get "404 Not Found nginx--Tyreek (talk) 19:39, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
For some reason they haven't added the www version, which I've asked again for. rationalwiki.ssu.lt works though. The Orain domain is rational.orain.org. Inquisitor Sasha (talk) 19:45, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
Ok. I would like to request the encyclopedianational.ssu.lt domain to replace encyclopedianational.orain.org because that sounds so long now haha. --Tyreek (talk) 19:50, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
I added the nameserver records to the .ssu.lt zone. You can create an account at Entry DNS and add the domain encyclopedianational.ssu.lt and begin adding records and subdomains. Inquisitor Sasha (talk) 20:06, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

Linux

Hey Inquisitor Sasha,

I was wondering if you would like to assist me in my Linux project I am currently making. The whole wiki will be about Linux :D--Tyreek (talk) 12:02, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, I can help out with that. I was recently downloading a few distributions to test them out. Inquisitor Sasha (talk) 12:33, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
Neat!--Tyreek (talk) 19:05, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

User group system messages

When they make Encyclopedia Muricana, can you change the user group names to titles like "President" for bureaucrat and something like "NSA thug" for sysops? Dondrekhan (talk) 03:52, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

Yeah. It's not that hard. MediaWiki.org should have fairly obvious directions for doing it. You'll need to make me a sysop, obviously. I assume that you'll be willing to do that? Inquisitor Sasha (talk) 22:17, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

email

Can I obtain your email, I wish to start a private conversation.--Tyreek (talk) 23:47, 5 July 2014 (BST)

Creating an Wiki

You must strictly follow Wiki creator/Guide, and (prefered) link provided in NEWWIKI. If you follow guide strictly, in ABC order, you should not see any issue assigning founder flag. — ReviComplaint? 03:02, 4 August 2014 (BST)

That's what I've been doing. Lieutenant S., Geschichtsmeister des Lexipedium (talk) 11:34, 4 August 2014 (BST)
I've assigned the missing rights for the founder who has already logged into his wiki. The other user, however, has not. Sorry, I don't have their names handy at the moment. -- Joe G. (Talk) 20:27, 4 August 2014 (BST)

Because I couldn't contact you on nazis.exposed

To answer your question about the article you wanted flushed, yes, flush it, obvious attack piece and it still has far too much identifying commentary with no meaningful merit. Also, I didn't give permission for commentary I shared privately (in confidence they would not be made public) to be used publicly. As for user Agent47, they need to be banned permanently for site violations.

Also, the site certificate needs to be fixed, as I couldn't reply thanks to warning about that which kept throwing up nginx errors. Arcane (talk) 14:50, 5 August 2014 (BST)

This is a bold faced lie

Note
This was written before making peace with Dusti and hadn't been deleted.

I don't even know where to start.

Dusti engaged in some seriously creepy and highly questionable-for-an-admin doxxing behavior. He apparently feels entitled to look up people's email addresses in the database and then store that information in his email account

I don't even have access to the server or the database.

my partner was banned by the owner Dusti for discussing a program called Katyn that was an anti dox retaliation deterrence project.

That's not why he was banned.

There was an incident with Jasper Deng where his wiki was put up for adoption and he was removed as an admin. Dusti's response was to act like a pompus jerk about it and refused to reinstate him.

I've already addressed that and the situation was taken care of as a result of my efforts to bring the two together.

Anyone can gain access to user dox just by showing ID and signing up as a privileged worker. Just because someone is personally identified does not mean that they can be trusted with user dox

That's also not true.

I'm so bewildered I don't know where to start. You do realize that these unethical, outrageous, and insane accusations are illegal right? You cannot spread lies about an organization or a person for that matter for your own beneficial gain? I went out on a limb and tried to reach out to you to discuss this, and now I see that you've done the above. I don't even know what to say or do, but I'll leave that up to the rest of the staff as apparently I'm just a pompus jerk. Dusti*Let's talk!* 16:56, 15 January 2015 (GMT)

I deleted it. This was before you explained what happened. I deleted it because you showed yourself to be reasonable and explained what happened. Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Malleus 18:55, 15 January 2015 (GMT)

I am sorry that this still existed after you explained what happened and I said that I am at peace now. Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Malleus 19:00, 15 January 2015 (GMT)
But it's forever there. You don't get it. The name calling is fine. People have their opinions and they always will. That's okay. But to say that I go into the database and freely take out people's email addresses is a serious allegation. One that you need to openly state is a lie. @John: for one can attest that I don't even have access to our databases - and I'm the founder! I don't want, nor do I need, access. You need to address these lies Inquisitor. Deleting them isn't enough as God only knows how many people have seen that and how many people, out of fear for their personal security, have either decided not to donate to Orain with our Indiegogo campaign running, or have decided to leave Orain. Dusti*Let's talk!* 19:02, 15 January 2015 (GMT)
At this time the page has only been accessed 25 times, and MW counts every visit by every person, not unique views. I will fully retract all of those statements on that page and I will give an endorsement of Orain and encourage people to donate. I'll even go off site an encourage people to donate. Since I'm not staff I don't think people will take it as spam. Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Malleus 19:19, 15 January 2015 (GMT)
I've posted a global notice on the RedSec wiki farm that people should donate to Orain that links to a page explaining that donations of at least $100 per six months will allow them to be a member of the global open source donor group on that farm.
