We're seeing this error on many pages on both allthetropes and poserdazfreebies (including the main page on allthetropes), and any time when anybody tries to upload a file to poserdazfreebies:

Sorry! This site is experiencing technical difficulties.

Try waiting a few minutes and reloading.

(Cannot contact the database server: No such file or directory)

The message is sometimes repeated.

It seemed to start about the time HHVM was rolled out, but I don't know whether the two are related. Do we know when this will be resolved?

The cause is unknown but is unrelated to HHVM. If you switch to HHVM the problem is actually solved so please do that. I've been aware of this issue for 2/3 days now but as no logs are being generated for the error at all besides 'no such file or directory' I am unable to debug it.
