Changing the language changes everything about the wiki pages and navigation!

Most of these requests can be granted, except the Videoflash extension, which, according to the page on it, is supplanted in stability and function by the first extension you requested (EmbedVideo, which we can easily add), not to mention we can't guarantee it's security or stability since it's on a publicly editable webpage instead of a GitHub repo. Also, with your permission, I can either import a simple Purge button gadget or add a script for the same to your wiki's Common.js filer, which will enable a purge button feature for everyone, either can be done at your discretion. Most of these requests have been granted, except for the logo and user rights changes. The logo you submitted needs to be reduced in size to no larger than 135 x 135px high. As for the user rights changes, you could instead attempt importing some abuse filters (I have one on my wiki that has reduced our spam problem 99.99%), or if you still wish to change user rights, we can change it to where only users with the "autoconfirmed" flag can edit, but regular editors and anons can still view. The requested extensions have been installed, the purge feature has been fixed on the main page, and I added that script you wanted to the Common.js page. Arcane (talk) 20:46, 26 December 2014 (GMT)
I added a file Male-anatomy.png, which is 128x128 pixels high.
I added a user "Cica" and confirmed the registration, as requested per email. After that Cica can edit, successfully edited the article "Telephone tapping in the Eastern Bloc". That opens the way for spammers and trolls to do anything they want. Typically they register, write an introduction onto their user page, and disappear. I'd like to avoid this activity. Some of them use an obscene name, or name reminding other editors using cyrillic or greek letters to confuse other editors. And so on... Therefore I would prefer, if registration were disabled for new users, and only administrators could add new users. Fiala1 (talk) 17:25, 30 December 2014 (GMT)
If we make the registration to only allow autoconfirmed/confirmed editors to edit, that means anyone can make an account, but you must grant them the confirmed/autoconfirmed flag (they grant the same rights either way) for them to make any edits at all. This will instantly deter any spam messages, but will still allow users to register. If you do this, the wiki can remain open to public view and you can still control who has editing rights, and the red exclamation points next to those without these flags will serve as a way to tell who is trusted to edit in recent changes. It is now completely open. I registered as cica1, and I can edit any page I want. No confirmation of any existing user is required for cica1 to write.
The possibility with only confirmed still would allow obscene or stupid user names, that can not be deleted, and also user names with cyrillic, greek and other non-latin characters.
I'd like to have the wiki so, that everybody can read, but nobody can register except administrators. If registered by an admin, user can also write. Is that possible? Fiala1 (talk) 10:09, 31 December 2014 (GMT)

Hello, there is still something wrong in the login process, but I can't figure out what. Do you have any logs or trace files that you can check to see what is happening? There are some special considerations that need to be made for installing TimedMediaHandler, since some of its features are extremely resource heavy. @Wynter:Yes, that's exactly what I've meant. We will have several registered editors at most, to whom I'd want to assign editing privileges personally. OK, I've added a new group called "members". Only members and admins can edit the wiki. Admins can add or remove users from the members group. We'd like the group members to have all of the rights listed above, and for non-trusted members to not have these rights. We're fine with approving writers for the wiki, and delighted to be able to more regularly regulate what info comes in and out of our wiki. FastmanEX (talk) 03:35, 5 May 2015 (BST)
I don't know what you guys call the wiki type, but I believe @FastmanEX: wants anyone to be able to create an account, but untrusted users not be able to edit or move pages. The first 3 are for the different FIRST subprograms. The next 4 are for the different people/organizations that are involved. WikiInternal is analogous to the WP: namespace on wikipedia (for internal stuff like policies). Finally, Event is for competitions (each page will have scores, awards given, and the like). Please make WikiInternal read only excepting sysops and bcrats

  • Feature 3: User groups: please add coach, official, mentor, team member
  • Reason: a reason is listed for each entry.

Task Extension is Not done because it is incompatible with the version of MediaWiki that Orain uses.
Chat is Not done because I'm kind of worried about installing an extension that's currently in beta and hasn't been tested in several versions.
Form mailer will be done when a download link can be provided. The given link is invalid for me.
I'm a little concerned about enable htmlets. How would you plan on uploading html files to the server?
Google Maps is Not done because the api used by it is obsolete, and the extension has been archived.
I see a couple social sharing extensions but I'm not sure which one you were talking about.
All groups are pending... github:605. Bureaucrats and sysops will be able to add/remove users from all the groups you wanted added. Also the groups show up but have no advanced permissions since you didn't mention them.

I will look into htmlets but I make no garuntees. From my brief glance at the extension, htmlets had to be uploaded to the server hosting them. Might be able to get away with .html uploads on your wiki. I'll get back to you.
Looking at AddThis and FormMailer now.

As for tidy, according to this Manual page, it appears Tidy is a core part of MW and it can improve some functions (like html in MW tables) but it appears to cause some other issues, and the manual page actually says (quote) "If you enable Tidy, you're in for a world of hurt." so I'm kind of curious as to why you'd like it enabled?   • Reason: NoTitle and Thanks would improve user experience on the wiki. The name of the wiki was set uncorrectly upon creation, so it needs to be changed to the grammatically correct form. The namespace renamings and aliases would result in more intuitive and/or shorter namespace names. References to CC should be removed because I plan on running the wiki under different copyright terms more suitable for the project's goals. For Wikipedia:HotCat, I'm not sure if that's considered a "feature", as it is a "Javascript gadget" or something that can be implemented outside of Wikipedia, but it is very handy for categorization. Namespace aliases are conveniences for ease of use in edit summaries, etc.

@Slivicon: The namespace alias will be done soon (pending CI checks since I'm on my phone). HotCat is actually enabled and configured on-wiki as a gadget.   • Reason: After completing an import, I noticed I have a lot of garbage pages to delete (and Nuke does not appear to consider imported pages as recent, so they don't show up in Nuke, unfortunately). Also, is there an extension available to allow me to run mw:Manual:DeleteArchivedRevisions.php, or can I request it be run when I've finished cleaning up, to clear out the deleted garbage pages from the database (there will never be a need to restore in this case)?
