Once your wiki has been created, there are things that you should or might want to do. Some of them are:

  • Protect the main page
You should to this to prevent users from accidentally messing up or vandalizing the front page of the site. This is also the only page that should be permanently protected.
  • Change the site logo
You can change the site logo by adding a simple script to the wiki skin JavaScript page. Before you add the script, you should upload an image to use as the logo. Make sure that the image is fully protected for the same reasons as the main page is protected. You can copy and paste the script here. You should copy the script to the MediaWiki:Vector.js page on your wiki.
