See [[Special:CentralAuth/SATAN 666 DESTROYER]]. The account only exists on testwiki, and was given bureaucrat by [[User:Example 2]]. Most likely a sock of [[User:Windowseditor90]] but the bureaucrat flag should be removed either way. There was no request for (any) permissions, and the account was randomly given bureaucrat. There is (growing) discussion/possible consensus that testwiki bureaucrats should have the unblockself right. If this is implemented this user should definitely have bcrat removed, but it should be removed either way. |

When we edit an article, we used to have icons for adding images for example. These icons were in the top left side of the editing window since the DDos attacks fix. We did not change in Mediawiki (common.js or common.css, etc...) in the past 4 months. (right.orain.org). I also can not see the images here (meta.orain.org), however, I do not know, if they existed here before the DDos attacks. [http://steamworkshop.orain.org/ Steam Workshop wiki] has 2 edits in the last 30 days, one of them was me. The only other edit was an IP. I believe the wiki is currently ineligible for 'dormant' status or a takeover, but I don't really want to do that. I would like to temporarily request local rights to create some pages and watch for vandalism. I wouldn't really need bureaucrat but I'd like to be sysop there so I can block IP vandals and fix up pages. I'm not really a current contributor there, but based on the dormant wiki page (which I know this doesn't qualify as) it says if users are active on another Orain wiki it's okay. Hello current Stewards and other community members. I'm not exactly sure how or why the current Stewards were chosen or how any future ones would be chosen. I myself have been around here two months but I've been trying to work with the community to figure out how to help improve it. |

I've been talking to [[User:Southparkfan|Southparkfan]] a lot lately and I was thinking that they'd make a great Steward. SPF is a current sysadmin and I think they do a great job at that. Addshore and SPF are the two sysadmins I currently think are the most active and addshore is already a steward too. I think that SPF would also be a great Steward. |

As a sysadmin I believe SPF already has access to most, if not all, of the tools Stewards have. Being a Steward would allow SPF to help in an administrative manner rather than just maintaining Orain. This would allow SPF to regularly use Oversight without worrying if it's an "emergency" situation (SPF has handled a majority of my OS requests) and it would also allow SPF to handle [[Meta:Requests for permissions]]. |

I honestly don't think that any of the current Stewards are doing a bad job but I understand that things happen off-wiki and having another great community member helping as a Steward would be beneficial. |

After 6 months of inactivity, the wiki may then be permanently deleted. Wikis with one controlling person (only one bureaucrat or steward) should be allowed to do this in my opinion, especially if nearly all the edits are theirs. I write this message because I want to explain the community something. You may or may not know who I am, but I’m currently best known as a wiki creator, global sysop and system admininistrator who has been part of Orain since the beginning (in July two years ago!). I have various rights and roles here, and I have always contributed to Orain as best as I can. But, from now on, I will no longer be a wiki creator, global sysop or sysadmin. |

I’ll immediately resign from all my positions (as of writing: Meta sysop, Meta bureaucrat, Global Rollbacker, Global Sysop, system administrator (and some other accounts related to this)). There are a few reasons for that. |

I don’t really like the work anymore. Despite the fact that I work as a volunteer, I feel the work has become more of a responsibility than something you like to do. That’s not anyone’s fault (I really mean that), but I still don’t really enjoy it anymore compared to a while back before this. I don’t want to do volunteer work if I feel it’s not really volunteering anymore. |
