Stewards/Draft

Stewards are users with complete access to the wiki interface on all of the wikis hosted by Orain. They are tasked with the technical implementation of community consensus, and dealing with emergencies (for example, cross-wiki vandalism).

Global Rights

Like Global Sysops, stewards possess administrative rights on every wiki; they also have access to other rights on all wikis, including the ability to change any and all user rights and groups.

Stewards are empowered to act as a member of any permissions group on any project with no active member of that permissions group. For example, wikis without an active administrator may call upon stewards to fulfill that role; stewards will also act as bureaucrats as needed on wikis without bureaucrats.
Note: Stewards generally do not perform actions on wikis where local users are available to perform them, except in emergency or cross-wiki cases.

To get emergency help or to ask a question, join the IRC channel #orain and say !steward in this channel to notify the stewards. For non-emergency requests, see Stewards' noticeboard. To contact a steward directly, use that steward's talk page.
