MediaWiki.org is already upgraded to wmf16. I don't mean to slap you in the face, but if you want to be the latest version then you should keep sync with the upgrade roadmap WMF uses. --Jeff (talk) (contribs) 23:04, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
- Actually, you make an excellent point there, but since that one has been recently deployed to their testing sites, I think Orain should probably upgrade one step behind the WMF projects. wmf15 has been tried, tested, and proven, but wmf16 is still only on the testing sites, and since many times fatal errors requiring rollback to an earlier version are discovered in stages 1/2 of the roadmap for each build, I believe it would be better for the Orain core to upgraded to the latest stable build prior to one used by the Wikimedia Foundation websites that has reached Stage 3. - Actually, wmf16 is on MediaWiki.org as well along with the testing sites. That means it should be very stable to quite some point. If the wiki is upgraded to wmf15, that's fine and dandy, however staying at wmf12 just makes the situation look worse. - Hi Jeff, we're quite aware of the roadmap. We don't update things based on how it will look. We've been busy with other things and will update MediaWiki very soon.
