Similar to what can be done in Wikipedia (which I think uses the Latex) math commands, for example <math>ax^2 + bx + c = 0</math> will display a polynomial, <math>x={-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac} \over 2a}</math> quadratic formula, also matrices, transposes, etc. Would really appreciate this, would be useful for tons of students at Edinburgh, thanks! I seem to have got rather stuck with an issue 'Failed to parse(PNG conversion failed; check for correct installation of latex and dvipng (or dvips + gs + convert)):'. I have read all of the docs and debugged this to hell but I don't seem to be able to work out what is wrong. I will keep poking this but I wont be able to add it to pmr2014wiki until I have figured out the problem. ·addshore· talk to me! 23:24, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

I want to restrict upload and reupload, and related rights to be restricted for (auto)Confirmed, and movefile for sysops. MobileFrontEnd was updated and it has new functions. Enable instand commons and foreign repos for Rational Wiki (Status: Open)

Could I get Wikimedia Commons access enabled at Rational Wiki?

Could I also get Foreign File Repos enabled for rationalwiki.org? They're also Creative Commons and we're importing and attributing content, and it would help save a lot of time and make the wiki look nice until we get files manually imported.

I have in many cases verified that this extension is unreliable. The most extreme case was when I noticed a 6000 edit discrepancy between the extension and my edit counter, where I have also verified that my counter was providing the correct number. I have an edit counter, that can be easily integrated with Orain's server, and if I am given permission, can be used instead. If not, we can implement the edit count extension. Alright, if I'm not annoying enough, how about one more. Would it be possible to add Extension:RandomSelection? Also, if my logo could be changed to File:Deguwikilogo.png, that would be awesome. And it might be worth noting that thumbnails don't currently work on my wiki; it shows the broken image file icon and, when you try to view the image through the URL, the page says: "Error generating thumbnail / Access denied. @Southparkfan & Tux I did see the normal version in the morning but in the afternoon it returned to the huge one again. Also, when this happens, the Tagline (From [wiki]) disappears too. Strange. Per our ansible-playbook RestrictDisplayTitle is set false to portalwiki. For the logo: that should be done. Try clearing your browser cache (or try to view your wiki with another device/browser. If the problems still exists, you can better leave a message here.   • Reason: Hi there, please excuse my strange requests. I'm very new to mediawiki and all that, having spent years as a contributor to various wikis, but never as an admin.

As stated in the wiki request, I'm trying to set up a translation portal for the Bible in Italian.

This is a mirror endeavour to most translation sites, as there are many versions in different languages already available, and the aim is to create a new one, rather than having one starting text, and many translations on the run.

The way I was thinking of achieving this is to have say 20 different custom languages, corresponding to different available versions, (eg. Ancient Greek, and Aramaic original if available, about 5 or 6 different Italian versions, and other european languages versions, eg 4 or 5 english, maybe a couple of French and German). I expect translators to have their own sources, but also to make as much available on-line as possible (must check with copyright owners, of course).

So my request is to have a microfarm of my own, or to have a set of say 20 CUSTOM languages, with their own locale (eg. KJV - en, MESS -en , NR- it, DIO -it , GNT - ag ) where there would be some form of import of text, and not much editing, and the main language will be the new translation.

Thanks for clearing that. If I understand right I would need a multiple MediaWiki installation (my own version of Orain ;-)) So now I've got some subpages, like https://bibbia2000.orain.org/wiki/Mc01/RIV, and /CEI and /ND.
