I strongly oppose for some extensions here which are not in git/are vulnerable to XSS. BlogPage requires some extensions who are not listed here. Backup is useless, BugzillaView requires MySQL user stuff setup, I wonder why Lockout is needed, WhatIsMyIP = Special:MyPage when being logged out. Southparkfan (talk) 18:51, 10 September 2014 (BST)
This request will be delayed as I have to talk to the sysadmins about some of your extensions. For the Main Page: you can create a page like Home with your content, and create the Main Page page like this (Main Page tells your wiki is private, and that authorized users can view the "real main page" at Home.). My guess is that it's to prove a point that if you're going to request things (for whatever the reason, not necessarily feature related), it needs to be done correctly. There is no reason that someone shouldn't follow a procedure that is simply clicking a button and filling in a template. It allows for increased readability and uniformity. This user has been asked to follow the format numerous times and still does not do so, and that is not okay. -- Joe G. (Talk) 21:46, 16 September 2014 (BST)

I just found the link, which was fairly ambiguous before. Like SP points out, this is not a good practice to be too strict. I am willing to use the proper format because I have found it, but other users may not be so friendly to such bureaucracy. I believe that such insistence on procedure is harmful for Orain, though I will use the proper procedure nonetheless for the first reasons outlined by Joe.
