How to create wiki

Hello! Thank you for the great news! My next step is of coarse creating the wiki, however I'm embarrassed to to ask this but how do you actually create it? I'm used to editing and adding to wiki's but never from scratch. This is all new to me. --Preceeding unsigned comment by User:Henosis

You can start by creating the main page on your wiki by hitting Edit or create in the top right. Then you can just type anything into the search box and if no page exists hit the button where it says 'Create page name' or similar. You can go to Special:UserRights on your wiki to add users to the member group. Because your wiki is private, only local 'members' 'administrators' and 'bureaucrats' (along with global Stewards) will be able to read your wiki. Permission mishap?

Although my request was approved, I wasn't given admin privileges...solo... I can't edit user groups or even upload files.

:P I have a say in who get's wiki creator, I don't just promote people. @Southparkfan: I was talking to @Reception123: about getting Wiki Creator. He's read the guide and I had him send me what he would add to the database list and type on Special:CreateWiki to make an example wiki, and what he would do if the wiki was still inaccessible. Admin/Bureaucrat rights on my Wiki.

Thank you for allowing my wiki. However, I am unable to access anything in my wiki that admins may access. I go to click on my prefs, contributions, or the 'special pages' under tools and it says that I do not have the permissions to access them. Help?

Is it possible to change titles?

Hi!

At first I would like to thank Orain for the opportunity to make my own wiki free of charge.

I am new to wikipedia so I have some trouble with the code. Is there a way to change the titles of the wiki articles without redirecting them or changing the URL? So far I have tried DISPLAYTITLE, CHANGETITLE and PAGETITLE, however using them seems to require editing of the wikipedia code.

Is there a way in Orain wiki to change the title of the page with magic words?

{{DISPLAYTITLE:title}} does not work (because it is used to change the titles only in a very small scale). I made an test: http://tunavork.orain.org/wiki/Oldtitle The title is "Oldtitle" despite the fact that {{DISPLAYTITLE:Newtitle}} was used. Is it possible to change the title to something totally different from the URL?

Access rights

Hi, Maybe there a problem of rights attribution because when I try to access to the url (wikiwhiteflag.orain.org), I have an error message saying this page can only be accessed by users of the group administrator, bureaucrat or member. Could you something about that ?

@Gabr guedes: thank you for your cooperative efforts in resolving this matter. Technically the CC-BY-SA license requires you to attribute it in a way the licensor specifies, possibly requiring a notice on every page. For the record, mindlessly copy pasting entire articles is generally bad practice. The articles could be exported, set to automatically include templates, and then they could be mass-imported and you cloud say "importing content from badpiggies.wikia.com" and that would probably suffice, but so many pages have already been copied.
