Forum:Upgrade to wmf16?

MediaWiki.org is already upgraded to wmf16. I don't mean to slap you in the face, but if you want to be the latest version then you should keep sync with the upgrade roadmap WMF uses. --Jeff (talk) (contribs) MyWikis Staff 23:04, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

Actually, you make an excellent point there, but since that one has been recently deployed to their testing sites, I think Orain should probably upgrade one step behind the WMF projects. wmf15 has been tried, tested, and proven, but wmf16 is still only on the testing sites, and since many times fatal errors requiring rollback to an earlier version are discovered in stages 1/2 of the roadmap for each build, I believe it would be better for the Orain core to upgraded to the latest stable build prior to one used by the Wikimedia Foundation websites that has reached Stage 3. I don't speak for the Orain farm staff here, but that's just my two cents on the topic. Arcane (talk) 01:31, 6 September 2013 (UTC)Arcane
