  • Propose new wikis. If you have an idea for a new wiki, submit it here.
  • Get involved in the process. Help sites get off the ground by defining the types of articles that are wanted and by recruiting editors to help with its launch.

  • A wiki request may be closed automatically if:
  • There is no description
  • It may cause legal issues
  • There is an existing wiki (with certain exceptions in rare cases)

Privacy seems to have been applied, but I can't even access the site. I get a "You are not allowed to execute the action you have requested" when I try to even visit the main page. Am I missing something? I show as logged in.

This type of request is generally put on the Request features page. You're right, you won't find a way to add the logo yourself. It needs to be added using the $wgLogo variable in the LocalSettings.php file for your wiki, which, on an Orain hosted wiki, can only be accessed by a global Steward and is processed using a GIT push. The existing Sturmkrieg wiki is a plagiarized ripoff of the Sturmkrieg Empire that I created. The writers of the so called "Sturmkrieg Sector" stole my idea. I am the owner of it. Please submit a complaint to ICANN, sue them in US District Court, and then come back when you've won. We're not ready to be sued right now.

Guys, I'm going to jump in here for just a second. Jeff, last I checked you weren't someone with the authority to make decisions on what wikis can and cannot be created, correct? Also, I would advise that you don't give legal advice for the implications it, in turn, could cause you later down the road unless you are a professional law expert. Sturmkrieger, I understand what happened to you wiki and the rip-off that formed from it; that is unfortunate. However, having two wikis that essentially cover the same thing would force users to chose one that they visit most often, and that will drive traffic down toward your wiki. Could you possibly explain what would make your wiki unique compared to this other one? Something that would make it more appealing to users and thus increase traffic to it? FMDS (Status: Done)

  • Description: This will be a private wiki for a personal project that I hope to have completed by February 2014. The wiki will be used to assist with the updating of my home computer network. I had started doing this on a localhost installation of MediaWiki, but I figure that it would be best to have this hosted online rather than locally, as I'll be wiping clean all my home computers, including the localhost MediaWiki installation, as part of this project. The wiki will have a page for each of my hardware configurations, and pages for each software package that I intend to install onto them, along with installation instructions and BASH scripts. There will also be task lists on the wiki to keep me on track with this project.
