Heyo, I'm requesting admin because I've seen LOTS of vandalism in the past weeks and the ONLY thing I as a regular user can do is Blank the page and add the template delete to the page. Sometimes spammers can make more spam pages and destroy stuff (meanwhile (On Sunday) nearly ALL administrator's, bureaucrats and others are.

  1. Oppose It somewhat hurts for me to do this but I can't support adminship at this time for the following reasons:
    1. You haven't been active that long here
    2. You tend to use a lot of ALL-CAPS on IRC, and in this request too; I'd prefer that admins don't wikipedia:WP:SHOUT.
    3. Since administrators are tasked with some sensitive information, I'm not comfortable with the recent breach of security on your computer (as you said on IRC).
    4. You haven't explained exactly why you need the extensions you requested at the request page; admins are expected to communicate well, especially replying to others' concerns.
    I would not oppose a re-run after these issues are at rest. It has nothing to do with adopting ircwiki (thanks for doing that actually, it reminded me about the fact that I created that wiki to document IRC!). But it is unfortunately the truth that at this time I expect more maturity than this. Sorry.--Jasper Deng (talk) 06:01, 22 September 2014 (BST)
    @Jasper Deng: I promise I fixed all issues with the breach and I'll only use computers that aren't connected to Windows Servers (I'll use Ubuntu or FreeBSD), also most users that begin to use MediaWiki wouldn't set their CSS and sig as quickly as me; In fact, Beginners with MediaWiki WOULDN'T even know how to set Sitenotices, edit sidebars etc. So re-think...Agent Isai! Orain Rocks!
    It's not technical experience on MediaWiki that I'm opposing for. But even on Windows I think you should know better for security. Also my point about using all-caps still stands.--Jasper Deng (talk) 06:14, 22 September 2014 (BST)

    • @C678: Scratch MediaWiki, I know how to use MediaWiki like the palm of my hand... I know WikiCode better than ANY beginner (thats why I made my own custom CSS)

      • CSS and JS is one thing, and separate from MediaWiki. You don't need to know MediaWiki to custom CSS and JS your account. You pasting your admin application into a closed, archived admin request, shows a lack of understanding in both Orain and MediaWiki.
