We have had a chance to review your request, and unfortunately, it cannot be granted for technical reasons, as our current server setup makes setting up Semantic MediaWiki and the related extensions extremely complicated. These setting is until operating not delete, I want to set default language zh-tw and not use Chinese variants:

I'm sorry if I was not precise enough (or if I was wrong) but I believe that UTC (international time) and Europe/London are not the same thing.
For example on the archives of this request page, the signatures indicate that the default time was UTC until 31 March 2014, then EDT between 18 April and 17 May 2014, and finally London/Europe until today.
In this last configuration, because of seasonal zone shifting, default time has been BST (GMT + 1, i.e. UTC + 1) until 25 October 2014, then GMT (= UTC) until 28 March 2015, and again BST until now. Maen (talk) 15:02, 25 May 2015 (BST)
Pending review by the sysadmins, I've changed github:601 to be UTC for your wiki. Hoping that's a valid time in those formats. For now, I'm fairly certain users can set custom timezones or disable DST in their preferences. The change should be wiki-wide when the commit is merged (assuming that's valid).   • Reason: I'm afraid I'm a dumb end-user. I'm here because it was suggested by someone who seems to know what he's talking about. The following text contains my original question and his answer. Please take the action necessary to make my wiki viewable by anyone, including anonymous users, but only editable by logged-in users.


I have set up a wiki called squaredanceideas. If I give someone the link squaredanceideas.orain.org they can view the main page. But they can't follow any links, they get a permission error. However, it seems an anonymous user can actually edit the main page. How can I set it up so that anonymous (i.e. non-logged-in people) can view all the pages but edit none of them? -- Proceeding unsigned comment by User:Brainstorm, signed by User:NDKilla

You can go to Request features and ask for your wiki to have anonymous editing disabled, but made not-private, which I believe it currently is. I believe that anon editing main page is an issue for ALL private wikis (see below), and I recently tested it on another wiki.
