I have another wiki in the farm of wiki, i have more information of Spécial:AdminLinks and Spécial:SiteSettings, is for the administration of picture of external by url and more

I have another problème, when i receive a message, my site is not creersonarbre, but creersonarbe,

it is not good

@Zazoult: I've changed the wiki name on the Database list. Also yes, admins of wikis will see "admin links" but there's not an on-wiki site setting page. Some things can be changed by editing things in the "MediaWiki:" namespace but most settings our found in our ansible playbook. meta:Proposals for new wikis#Nutritional Therapy Clinic Diary 2015/16 (Status: Not done) with things like this I would generally ask what different id they wanted, or try to make the URL what they want and make the id whatever matches the url.

I just wanted to drop by because I saw your GS draft and noticed you said you needed access for wiki creating things. I want to make sure you are aware that GS cannot assign userrights on any wiki, so that still won't solve that wiki creation issue (the sysadmins are working on fixing the extension, though). Alright, let me see what I can get you in the mean time. Give me a bit of time to discuss it with the other staff, but I think we will be able to work it out for you. The only thing I don't think we will be able to do for security reasons is the global userrights. There isn't a way (that I know of) to restrict assigning only specific groups through the interface (i.e. not being able to assign anything but sysop and bureaucrat). The reason for my concern is the ability to assign CheckUser and/or Oversight (not that you would or anything like that at all). Per 13:57 . . NDKilla (Talk | contribs | block) changed group permissions for Special:GlobalUsers/Global interface editor. Added edit, editinterface; Removed (none) ‎(For globally editing MediaWiki:Sitenotice (temp for wikicreators)) NDKilla has just created the Global Interface Editors group and assigned you to it. Administrator rights

Hi Reception123,

Thanks for the approval of our wiki :) We am having some issues to get the administrator rights, even though we click the "here" link you passed to me http://meta.orain.org/wiki/User_talk:Red_Sostenible We want to change the subdomain from redsostenible to red-sostenible. Also we want to migrate some files from another wiki, we were wondering if there is a tool to import xml files.

    • @Red Sostenible: I've gone ahead and given you sysop and bureaucrat (founder permissions) on your wiki.
    • As for importing, how many pages would you like to import? How big is the xml file. It shouldn't be an issue giving you the importer right.

@Reception123: The xml file is 4,2 MB. I get a look at the import page tool, but I could not see any way to import xml files. The the only page I found for importing is in wiki/Especial:Importar where there is not the xml feature for importing. Maybe I should look somewhere else? Trouble with Otherrealm Compendium

Hi, thanks so much for approving the wiki, this place looks great. I'm having some trouble, though, because the "create wiki" link worked, but I don't seem to have any admin abilities to edit anything on it. I may just be missing something obvious, any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Driftwood wiki request

I put in a request for the creation of the driftwood wiki on July 5, but it is still listed as pending. Several other wikis have been proposed and approved since then. Wiki request. Fighting against real time

Hi Reception123, I saw your message related to the ID of the wiki I was going to open. (Enmiendas reglamento ley de transparecia).

The matter is that we had an emergency to build a space where citizens could amend the Spanish transparency law that is going to be approved this Friday (after tomorrow).

We set up the wiki in Orain, but then we have been forced to find a solution that could permit people to start amending from the same moment.

That's why then we had to build it with an alternative tool (http://comments.xnet-x.net/reglamento-ley-transparencia/)

So right now, for this initiative, maybe the wiki is not useful as the first deadline in tomorrow night. It's really just a matter of time, but we are not the ones who decide the times :-(.

I'm really very sorry for that but, maybe, it's better if we delete the wiki?

What do you think? Would it be a problem? Or do you have any different suggestion?

@Mazodan: I've given you administrator and bureaucrat as founder of your wiki. To import pages you'll need to export pages from another file to an XML file (preferably current revisions only). Question about Tetrad wiki and request for admin and bureaucrat rights

Hi! I recently had a wiki approved, and received a message saying it was available for me to use. However, the domain doesn't seem to be up. How can I access the wiki?

@Mglymour: Your wiki (here) appears to work. Sometimes DNS names just take time to go into effect. Thanks; question on custom domain and custom appearance

Hello there. Thanks for helping us launch the Anthropocene Wiki. We aim to bring the Anthropocene discussion out of academic circles to a wider public consciousness, though a non-profit initiative.

We would like to know if we can use a custom domain to this wiki. We would like the main page to be wiki.anthropocene.link (for now) and later wiki.anthropocene.org (for later).

And if it doesn't interefere with the Orain policy, we would like to completely customize it, change the logo, change the theme etc. Please guide us. We do not intend to do anything that's against Orain policy and will always be a honorable and complainant member.

Thank you for approving my wiki at farmingsimulator.orain.org. I noticed when I received the "new message" indicator beside my username on meta.orain.org that the indicator had html entities so it looked like &lt;new messages&gt; instead of <new messages> - not sure what causes that, maybe you've already noticed and are aware, but thought I'd mention it (obviously just a cosmetic thing). --Slivicon (talk) 15:27, 18 July 2015 (BST)

404s and namespace aliases

I've started to notice a lot of '404 not found' when loading pages at http://farmingsimulator.orain.org, including the main page and special pages. If I refresh the page, it will sometimes load without CSS, then another refresh it might load, then another refresh it might 404 again. Is this normal?

Also, I'm curious how to go about requesting namespace aliases, such as creating "FS" for the "Farming Simulator" namespace on the wiki, so that I can start creating shortcuts and use them in edit summaries, like FS:SUBCAT which would be similar to WP:SUBCAT on Wikipedia (On Wikipedia, "WP" is an alias for the "Wikipedia" namespace, i.e. Wikipedia:SUBCAT).

Farming Simulator Wiki Refresh Cache

Hi there, thank you again and the others on the team for their help getting me started. It appears the Echo extension was installed and the problems with the database errors were resolved, as well as the logo. One thing I have noticed that has continued today, is that the site at farmingsimulator.orain.org sometimes appears to be loading some things from a cache, as the orain logo will sometimes appear, and sometimes the echo notification number indicator by the username will sometimes be gone. If I hit reload/refresh in chrome, it will come back, but if I hit refresh/reload again, it will often go back to the orain logo and the notification number disappearing again. It seems to happen inconsistently as I browse through the site and as I hit reload. Thanks in advance. Hi, I tried to find some extensions that I need and I am really screwed. I want to know if it is possible to install on my wiki:

- some kind of SEO extension; - An extension which allow to modify the wikicode - A way to add my wiki to my Google search console ( ex webmaster tools). - an extension which allow user to download a pdf copy of a page.

File uploads / external link captcha

Many thanks for setting up the wiki for us. Two questions:

  • I don't see the 'file upload' option in the 'tools' menu - how do I upload files?
  • Is it possible to disable the captcha for external links? We will need to add quite a few of these links to our Wiki.
